A brief intro about WWF from Ben Li of MadCool Network
:
WWF
stands for World Wildlife Fund. Most people will think of World
Wrestling Federation when they hear WWF. Some even thought the
panda was part of the World Wrestling Federation but the truth
is WWF is known worldwide
by its panda logo. World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is dedicated to protecting
the world's wildlife and wildlands. The largest privately supported
international conservation organization in the world, WWF has
sponsored more than 2,000 projects in 116 countries and has more
than 1 million members in the U.S. alone. People of all walks
of life are members. They are stock brokers, students, public
adjusters and politicians. WWF directs its conservation efforts
toward three global goals: protecting endangered spaces, saving
endangered species, and addressing global threats. From working
to save the giant panda, tiger, and rhino to helping establish
and manage parks
and reserves worldwide, WWF has been a conservation leader
for more than 36 years.
Now
you are probably wondering why am I doing this? Well, I grew up
watching the Nature show on PBS. One of my favorite animal
was the Panda. When I was small, I told myself that when I grow
up, I will donate money to help them out. Now that I am older,
I stayed true to my words, and is now a proud member of WWF (as
you can see below). I also joined the Panda Passport Program,
which is free for those who can't afford to donate. It is a great
program in which you can make a difference by spending a few minutes
of your time! So act now, I am doing my part to help, are you?

The email that was sent to all who donated:
"Hello
Ben Li: Thank you for your generous contribution to World
Wildlife Fund. Your gift will help us protect endangered species
and threatened wildlands throughout the world. Our conservation
programs involve establishing and managing parks, training and
equipping park rangers, guards and anti-poaching teams and helping
to meet the needs of local people without destroying natural resources.
WWF members are at the forefront of the international
struggle to protect the world's wildlife - and we depend on
your support every day. Sincerely, Bruce Harris Director Member
